Ingredients (6 servings)

  • Instant ramen noodle packets 4 pieces
  • Ground beef 1 lb
  • Large broccoli (cut into small florets) 1 piece
  • Onion (chopped) 1 piece
  • Fresh ginger (grated, optional) 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil (estimated quantity) 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce 1/4 cup
  • Hoisin sauce 1/3 cup
  • Sesame seeds (optional) to taste

Preparation

    Cook the ramen noodles in boiling water for 1 minute, then drain and set aside.

    In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

    Cook the ground beef for 4 to 5 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned.

    Add the ginger and cook for 1 minute.

    Add the broccoli and onion, and continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Return the noodles to the skillet, pour in the soy sauce and hoisin sauce, and mix for 1 to 2 minutes.

Chef's Notes & Tips

For a crispier texture, blanch the broccoli for a few seconds before adding it to the pan. You can also add a drizzle of toasted sesame oil at the end for extra aroma.
